White Bluff Project artist and printmaker, JP Willis, has been named as a finalist in this year’s National Still Life Award, currently exhibiting at the Coffs Harbour regional gallery. ‘Still’ is a biennial, acquisitive award for artworks in the genre of still life, in all mediums and is one of richest art prizes in Australia with a $30,000 first prize.
A total of 59 artworks were selected as finalists for Still: National Still Life Award 2019, from a total of more than 750 entries that came from across Australia. All are now available to view on the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery's Pinterest page. They include painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, ceramics, glass, sculpture, video, printmaking and textiles. The Still exhibition opened on Friday 20th September 2019 and runs until Saturday 30th November 2019. Visiting the gallery also gives you the opportunity to vote in the popular People’s Choice Award, giving locals the chance to vote for their favourite artwork. Voting closes on 1st November 2019 and the winner will be announced on November 7.
